1.Why Minimum FPS Is Statistically Fragile

Traditional "Minimum FPS" records only a single worst-case frame duration during an entire benchmark run. A single background OS notification can trigger a 100ms stall, skewing minimum FPS to 10 FPS even if the remaining 99.9% of the gameplay was completely smooth. 1% Low FPS solves this by taking the harmonic mean of the entire worst 1st percentile.

2.Interpreting 1% Low Ratios

In an optimal rendering environment, 1% Low FPS should be at least 70% to 80% of your average FPS. If your average is 144 FPS and your 1% low is 120 FPS, the experience is exceptionally fluid. If your 1% low drops below 50% of the average, noticeable stutter occurs.
