1.What Is Monitor Ghosting?

Ghosting occurs when physical liquid crystals inside an LCD panel cannot rotate fast enough to match the moving pixels on screen. The remnants of previous frame positions leave a visible trail (ghost) behind moving characters or objects.

2.Overdrive and Inverse Ghosting (Overshoot)

Monitor overdrive boosts liquid crystal voltage to accelerate transition speeds. However, setting overdrive to "Extreme" causes liquid crystals to overshoot their target color, resulting in a bright, glowing inverse halo trail.
